JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB SUMMARY
Your main duty as basic cardiac life support instructor is to conduct high quality training and skill assessment in a healthy and safe environment for healthcare staff working in TTSH.
You will be involed in the administrative duties within the department, planning, facilitating, coordinating, and providing support for all life support training programmes (LST*) within TTSH.
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to plan, develop and implement process transformations and operational improvements of the department, for better efficiency and productivity.
- LST Courses comprises of basic cardiac life support (BCLS), advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), Life Support Cardiac for Nurses (LSCN) and automated external defibrillator (AED) provider and instructor courses.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
SPECIFIC
As a certified instructor to perform basic cardiac life support skill assessment and provide skills demonstrations in accordance with SRFACs requirement, procedures and policies.
Supervise trainees hands on training in a healthy and safe environment and provide corrective feedback to ensure participants perform CPR and AED procedures correctly.
Work closely with team members to setup and prepare the training courses prior to each training course, and to house keeping the training equipment and inventory management after each training course.
Work closely with team members in instructor training schedule planning, trainees enrolment and certification management.
Work closely with team members in stock take, replenishment, procurement and condemnation of training equipment and consumables inventory, for example manikins, hand gloves, training pads.
Work closely with team members to facilitate, support and issues solving during actual runs of training courses, inclusive of weekend runs.
Provide support and liaise closely with supervisor to ensure learning and training requests and needs are met, either via physical skill lab training, e-learning, or hybrid learning mode.
Be involved in documentation, making sure that information is up-to-date, stored securely and easily retrieved for reference, for example training records, Life Support Office policies, work instructions, SOPs.
Work with the supervisor, internal and external stakeholders, to identify and resolve concerns and issues arise within the department.
Be proactive and work towards streaming and optimization of the department work processes, to facilitate the transition of the work processes that leverage on IT.
Involve and be responsible for day-to-day operations, as assigned by the supervisor or Head of Department.
GENERAL
Perform duties as requested by the supervisor or Head of Department.
Provide prompt feedback to the supervisor in anticipation of work related concerns and issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Diploma holder or equivalent with minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge in administer or facilitate life support training courses would be an added advantage.
Proficiency in using training equipment and technology
Possess the ability to manage datasets and generate reports.
Proficiency in Microsoft office in particular Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Good written and verbal communication skill.
Ability to multi-task, organize and establish priorities, and perform under pressures.
Pro-active, self-motivated and work independently.
Team player with flexible and willing attitude.
(B) PROFESSIONAL LICENCE
Certified Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor would be an added advantage.
