This position supports the Venue Lead to manage operations of the venue by overseeing the different aspects of business (such as budget management, stakeholder engagement, event, and daily ops management) by building strong rapport and working relationship with internal and external stakeholder and maintaining a can do attitude to deliver a successful outcome that is in accordance with organizational goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Support the Venue Lead with venue operations plans, venue handover exercise; ensuring input and support from various partners and a coordinated plan for the management of the venue
- Ensure all relevant commercial obligations are appropriately managed and delivered, so as to deliver maximum value for Sports Hub and the promoters/hirers
- Effective and efficient management of all staff working within the department, ensuring a high level of service delivery
- Support the team in the planning of events within the venue, ensuring every event has a comprehensive operations plan of an international standard
- Work closely with our partners, clients and the various government authorities to ensure all license requirements are achieved and adhered to, allowing event business to run smoothly
- Support team members (Event Manager) with event day operations, being proactive at all times but retaining strong decision-making skills and reactive management as needed
- Review and be a part of all necessary event planning and operations resources, literature, guidelines, and reports with venue lead
- Plan and conduct sports equipment checks with external contractors for sports equipment repairs and maintenance
- Ensure the team delivers exceptional and consistent levels of service, customer care and customer satisfaction in line with KPIs
- Proactively implement strategies designed to ensure that customers are always served to the highest standards in customer care and that best practice operational and service standards are achieved
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Events and Hospitality Management, or equivalent
- Minimum of FIVE (5) years of relevant professional experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment. A proven track record of successfully managing projects/events/venues and delivering results
- Experience in leading teams is highly desirable
