Job Title: F&B Driver and Operations
Location:10 Buangkok View, Singapore 539747 (Institute of Mental Health campus)
Working Hours:
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM to 5 PM
- Saturday: 8 AM to 12 PM
- May be required to work on weekends and public holidays, depending on operational needs.
Job Description:
1. Delivery and Logistics:
- Plan and follow delivery routes to ensure that orders are delivered on time and food remains fresh.
- Double-check orders before delivery and maintain a simple delivery log.
- Safely drive the company vehicle in various weather conditions.
- Handle multiple deliveries and locations while ensuring customer satisfaction.
2. Event and Catering Setup:
- Take charge of setting up catering events, ensuring all necessary items are transported, arranged, and ready on-site.
- Ensure that setups are done correctly and efficiently, including handling heavy equipment as needed.
3. Vehicle Maintenance:
- Perform basic checks on the vehicle, including fuel levels and cleanliness.
- Ensure that the vehicle is in good working order and report any issues for servicing.
4. Communication and Customer Service:
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to resolve any issues.
- Ensure that any special customer requests are met during deliveries.
5. Halal Certification Support:
- Be part of the Halal Team, ensuring that food delivery and handling meet Halal standards.
- Experience or certification in the Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) is a plus but not required.
6. Operations Support (When Not on Delivery):
- Help in the kitchen with packing daily orders, such as packed lunches and cookies.
- Clean and organize catering equipment after events, including chafing dishes and serving utensils.
- Check inventory for catering supplies like sugar, creamer, and chili sauce.
- Deliver dirty tablecloths and skirting to the laundry service.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Class 3 driver's license.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy food orders and equipment, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in delivery or customer service is a plus.
- Familiarity with local streets and landmarks is preferred.
- Patience and understanding for working with individuals with disabilities and those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Experience or certification in Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Reports to the Chef.
