The Facilities Manager/Senior Executive will be responsible for handling the operation and maintenance of the churchs buildings, offices, and grounds. He is involved in managing a team of caretakers and directing their activities and is solely responsible for the facilities. This role will be reporting to the Service Operations Manager.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Identify CAPEX improvement work plan for departmental directions in the yearly work plan and budget.
Create work schedules and task lists for facility caretakers and term contractors.
Participate in and oversee the cleaning and maintenance of the facilities.
Oversee events set-up and removal, and booking of systems.
Works with volunteers and colleagues from different departments for church events, and weekend services.
IC Point of contact for all outside vendors who service the properties and facilities.
Conduct weekly audit inspections to ensure the outsourced service providers are performing according to their contractual obligations
Manage and liaise with external agencies on new initiatives and major repairs and maintenance works.
Responsible for ensuring proper venue preparation (accessing of venues, cleaning, air-conditioning, setting up of furniture, and accessories, etc.) for all church services and events.
Be on-call and available in emergencies to respond to facility issues during off-hours (e.g., fire alarm, power outage, security alarm, etc.)
Assist in the housekeeping of the facilities and helping out in the annual fire drill.
Performing any other related duties as and when assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum Diploma in Building & Electrical Engineering or Property Management.
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant working experience in a Building or Property Management role.
Experience in handling set-up and moving logistics.
Certified in Fire Safety and other BCA requirements.
Possess good organisational abilities
Able to work collaboratively in a team and communicateeffectively.
Knowledge of Fire Safety and other BCA requirements.
Able to work on weekends and be involved in our church services (5-day work week).
