The company has developed a proprietary and fully automated industrial technology which will deliver unrivalled crop yields, independent of environment and geography challenges.
In line with and supported by the Singapore government in her 30-30 vision: 30% food self-sustainability by 2030, GP is constructing a full-scale flagship facility in Singapore. This facility will be a key pillar in achieving a nation's food security agenda with a revolutionary modern farming solution, leveraging on automation and cutting-edge technology in producing leafy vegetables in Singapore.
Position Overview:
The Farm Supervisor is integral to our daily operations, providing support to the Senior Farm Manager on the day-to-day farm operations management, ensuring productivity, efficiency and company standards are met. This role is ideal for individuals who have a keen interest in sustainable agriculture and are looking to gain hands-on experience in agri-tech farming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day farm operations to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Execute high volume production of leafy greens/salads by following Standard Operating Procedures to meet production targets and process yield improvement.
- Supervise, mentor, train and delegate daily job tasks to team members.
- Be the 1st respondent to farm operations-related failure/incidents and ensure issues are escalated to the management team efficiently.
- Ensure that the farm's safety & housekeeping/cleanliness protocols are constantly maintained at high standards, advocating the achievement of a zero-accident environment through adhering to good production practices and safety initiatives.
- Monitoring of CEA parameters and notifying technicians about any issues detected.
- Manage inventory to ensure production operating consumables are sufficient and forecasted.
- Pests monitoring and update in FOMS quality session (Population count during transplanting and harvesting).
- Any other duties as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Higher NITEC / Diploma in Agricultural/Plant Science/Horticulture/related field or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in agriculture technology/farm operations is preferred.
- Basic understanding of plant biology and agricultural practices is a plus.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Able to work independently while being an excellent team player.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Good planning, production organization, strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Having a strong interest in agricultural technology and eagerness to learn is highly desired.
