Ferrous Trade Finance Operations Manager

Aurex Group are a leading commodity specialist Executive Search firm with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and Houston.

We are working with an international trading company headquartered in Europe that is currently expanding their team in Singapore and is looking for a candidate to run trade finance with a particular focus on the operational aspects. This role will handle all middle office and back office activities related to trade finance and will be reporting to the Finance Manager.

This role will suit a candidate coming out of the trade finance / structured trade finance department of a bank in Singapore.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manager and process day to day Trade Finance Operations transactions, covering several trade products, ensuring efficient and effective handling of customer's transactions.
• Perform vetting / matching of Back-to-back and Front-to-Back LC terms and conditions, and documentary checks.
• Ensure that regulatory, bank's policies, guidelines, controls and compliance requirements are adhered to. Identify documentary discrepancies, transaction exceptions and/or non-compliance with regulations and escalate them to the relevant parties for resolution.

Requirements

• 5 years+ of related work experience
• Familiar with national financial policy, foreign exchange policy and finance supervision policy
• Familiar with settlement methods and settlement terms including BOC tickets, commercial tickets, letters of credit, etc. in domestic and international trade.
• Must be highly adaptable to work duties and dynamic changes in the work environment
• Proactive at work, good communication skills, mature and able to handle problems independently and face different challenges
