Job Description
- Field Support: Perform Corrective Maintenance (CM) for hardware and software failures, restoring systems to operational status. Maintain records on system reliability and availability, including Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), downtime, and hardware/software versions.
- Field Testing: Conduct software testing following new bug fixes, ensuring correct configurations are loaded for testing and production use.
- Spares Services: Manage spare parts, test equipment, and tools on-site, including inventory management, serviceability checks, and end-of-life monitoring. Ensure prompt action for faulty spares.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Conduct PM to maintain operational conditions as per the schedule, following checklists for calibration and system verification. Submit PM reports post-maintenance.
- Calibration Services: Coordinate with vendors for calibration of test equipment used in PM tasks.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to manage 12-hour shifts, 24x7 operations.
- Experience in server/network/UPS/security products, e.g., Firewalls, PIM/PAM, and Server Virtualization.
- Customer-oriented with a strong service attitude, good listening and analytical skills.
- Positive, enthusiastic team player who works well under minimal supervision in fast-paced settings.
- Ability to interpret system/architecture diagrams and understand user environments.
- Proficiency in IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and best practices is advantageous.
Education and Certification:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT/Engineering.
- CCNA certification required.
Experience:
- 1-2 years supporting network, security, server, and UPS systems.
- Experience with mission-critical systems with a 99.9% SLA.
