Finance & Accounting Manager (Japanese Fintech)

Our Client:

Our client is a well-known Fintech company, headquartered in Japan. They are seeking a motivated individual to join their Singapore team as an Accounting & Finance Manager. Proficiency in Japanese language is preferred to smoothly and effectively communicate with Japanese Native Stakeholders and Customers.

The Responsibilities:

• Accounting and Financial management for Singapore and Japan group companies, including supporting of Accounting operations for new businesses
• Prepare monthly, yearly financial statements
• Support the annual budgeting process and forecasting activities
• Manage daily cash flow and processing of payments and deposits
• Liaise with tax agent for the filing of annual tax returns and addressing any tax-related issues
• Prepare quarterly reports for GST reporting
• Liaise with auditors regarding audit-related concerns. Ensure that statutory accounts are meticulously prepared in alignment with Financial Reporting Standards (FRS)
• Proactive proposal and implementation of business processes
• Other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned

The Requirements:

• Proficiency in Japanese language is preferred to smoothly and effectively communicate with Japanese Native Stakeholders and Customers
• Degree holder with at least 5 years of relevant working experience in Accounting or Finance
• Team management experience is required
• Understanding of SFRS and IFRS
• Analytical with good problem solving skills
