Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant. You will support the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and assisting with budget planning and tax preparation. This Junior role also involves working with various teams within the company, particularly around subscription management. This role is remote and not restricted to any specific country.

Job Description:

  • Update Financial records: Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets with daily transactions.
  • Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Invoice Processing: Collect and record invoices received via email, process and reconcile them with company and bank accounts.
  • Budget Support: Support the periodic planning and tracking process for the budget.
  • Tax Preparation: Assist with gathering information for accountants to ensure timely tax filing and compliance activities.
  • Accounts Payable/Recivable: Record accounts payable and receivable, following up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Assist during budget preparation and participate in quarterly and annual audits.
  • Company Teams Support: Work with various teams to guide them on administrative tasks, ensuring smooth documentation and fund flow, so they can focus on their core responsibilities.

Job Requirements:

  • Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Flexibility to learn new processes and systems as they are adopted by the company.
  • A solid understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks).
  • Stong organisational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to spot numerical errors.

Preferred Skills:

  • QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange processes
  • A BSc degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • 3-4 years of experience as a Finance/Accounting Executive, or in a similar role
