Metta Welfare Association (Metta)
Established in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM and officially registered in 1994, Metta Welfare Association (Metta) is recognized for providing a wide range of social services, endorsed by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Ministry of Education (MOE). We are a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), Singapore Hospice Council, and Singapore Disability Sports Council, and have been awarded the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) certification in 2018 and the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) in 2019.
Our Social Service Programs
Metta offers a diverse range of services including:
- Children Care: Early intervention for young children with learning difficulties.
- Disability Care: Residential and day care services for adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Medical Care: Day rehabilitation, home nursing, and medical care for chronic and terminal illnesses.
- Special Education: Vocational training for children with mild intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
- Youth Employment Support: Vocational training and supported employment for youth with mild intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
Job Title: Finance Executive
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
- Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register.
- Conduct physical count and tagging of fixed assets with the Senior Finance Executive.
- Verify authorizations for asset disposal and movement using Form K.
- Prepare resolutions and handle banking matters, including updating cheque signatories and other related tasks.
- Prepare cash flow projections for HQ and all centres.
- Calculate and record depreciation in the Financial Operations (FO) system on a monthly basis.
- Open new bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations for HQ and all centres.
- Compare fixed deposit rates across banks and arrange fixed deposit placements.
- Process intercompany settlements and fund transfers to HQ.
- Perform data entry for fixed deposit (FD) interest, subvention provisions, and maintain the FD schedule.
- Handle ad-hoc cash counting duties.
2. General Responsibilities
- Assist in fundraising events as needed.
- Support any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a finance-related role.
- Minimum certification or diploma/degree in Finance or a related field.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- High standards of professionalism, time management, and discipline in completing tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous, responsible, and hardworking.
