THE ROLE
Reporting to the Asia Business Controller (based in Singapore) accountable for Revenue Recognition per IFRS 15 across Asia Pacific, the incumbent will be responsible primarily for the revenue recognition License and SaaS deal valuation, Sales (inclusive of account managers) & Marketing P&L, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cost saving tracking and supporting Regional Managing and Regional Sales Directors and RFC in above areas.
Another key accountability is accurate and timely reporting of license and SaaS revenue recognition and metric in accordance to corporate financial policies and IFRS
- Support and clarify with the Sales, Account Manager and Marketing team on all license and SaaS deals and ensure that the billing systems and revenues are recognized as set-out in the Rev Rec calculation and memos.
Support the Sales, Account Manager and Marketing team to ensure smooth running payment process and provide advisory to the team. He/she will also ensure internal controls and group policies are applied so as to ensure that our companies assets are protected and adequately monitored.
OPPORTUNITIES
You will manage credit assessment as part of KYC (know your customer) per IFRS 15 requirement.
You will prepare and/or review calculation of License (BV) to ensure compliance against Group financial policies and ensure payment milestones aligned to the regional cash targets.
You will prepare monthly sales review report, Revenue and Cost, budgeting and reporting for License and SaaS ACV and ARR (annual recurring revenue), Sales and Marketing cost, Headcount reporting for APAC.
You will be the advisor to Sales, Account Manager & Marketing team on License revenue recognition matters including SaaS Deals.
You will work closely, build and develop relationship with the Regional Sales Directors, Sales, Account Manager and Marketing team.
You will support the Sales, Account Manager and Marketing on bid related (finance related) items.
You will communicate and convey results clearly, providing recommendations to meet financial targets.
You will manage the external and internal audit for License, SaaS and S&M related P&L and process controls.
You will manage an offshore team based in the Shared Service Centre (SSC) in India.You will review and manage any risk and exposure in the Net Working Capital.
You will support Regional Financial Controller in annual budget process.
You will be the key contact person for the region to liaise with Corporate on finance and budget reporting templates and submission matters.
You will ensure compliance with all internal controls and group accounting policies.
You will manage (discuss and agree with key stakeholders), communicate, and ensure the monthly close and forecast are adhered to.
You will review and manage Net Working Capital.You will manage Adhoc Testings with ICS Team.
You will manage Cash Forecast and ensure collection for License.
You will assess and value settlement arrangement to Regional Financial Controller.
You will handle other ad hoc assignments as assigned.
SKILLS
CPA or Bachelor of Accountancy equivalent from local University.
Strong understanding of IFRS is critical for success in this role. A deep knowledge of IFRS 15, particularly in the software industry, is strongly preferred.
You should have at least 7 years relevant working experience within a consulting firm or multinational corporation (MNC) in the IT/software business environment.
You should have in depth understanding and management of the Sales, Account Manager & Marketing P&L.
You should have a clear understanding of internal controls, systems and process.
You should have good understanding of the business and ability to deliver operating plans.
Experience in Oracle and Hyperion will be greatly advantageous.
You should be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with parties from different levels, different cultural background and as part of a team.
You should be adept and credible in senior management circles and perceived as a valuable business partner.
You should have the ability to negotiate with the business to achieve desired outcomes.
You should have the ability to guide and mentor teams, act as a mentor to share and transfer expert knowledge.
