Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of accounting professionals and responsible for team development
- To support Department Managers/related parties with necessary financial reports and analysis of operation performance in terms of profitability and efficiency, and play a business partnering role
- Review and formulate finance policies and procedures
- Monitor and oversee daily accounting transactions and activities.
- Maintain and prepare full set of financial accounts regularly and manage cash and bank expense records.
- Administrate account receivables and accounts payables.
- Review accounting documents.
- Responsible for preparing bank reconciliation, expense reconciliation, monthly breakdown of balance sheet items, amortization and other management reports required by management.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, complying with regulatory requirements.
- Perform month/year-end close activities.
- Perform allocation of central costs on monthly/quarterly basis.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making processes.
- Analyzing financial reports and making strategy recommendations for identified problems or general financial decisions.
- Timely follow up on all outstanding issues.
- Planning, implementing and supervising the company's financial strategy.
- Ensure compliance of company policies, accounting standards and government policies.
- Preparing a comprehensive budget that aligns with the project goals.
- Prepares withholding tax reports and statutory forms and ensure timely and accurate submission to local tax authorities.
- Financial audit preparation and coordination the audit process.
- Participate in other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, ACCA, CA Singapore or equivalent is preferred.
- Over 10 years of hands-on experience in a professional accounting or corporate services firm is preferred, with additional experience in the Retail & Services industry being a valuable advantage
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Knowledgeable in accounting principles and practice.
- Familiar with knowledge of relevant local laws, Singapore tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
- Meticulous, independent, proactive, responsible and able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin.
