Manage the accounting and financial matters of the Church, maintain good governance and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Update and maintain Church Finance Manual.
Work closely with Church leaders and Finance and Investment Committee on Finance, investment and governance matters.
Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly reporting to the Local Church Executive Committee and quarterly reporting to Finance Committee & Investment Committee.
Consolidate annual budget, review individual ministry budgets on a quarterly basis.
Manage the yearly audit/ad-hoc audit including preparation of Statutory accounts for Faith Methodist Church with the consolidation of Joint Management Committee (JMC) account.
Submit reports to Charity Portal on the Church Account and Overseas Expenditure.
Oversee the annual pledge exercise.
Supervise Finance team in day-to-day accounting duties.
Requirements:
Minimun Diploma in Accounting or equivalent with 8 years relevant experience in a supervisory role.
Have strong accounting background with good working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and statutory requirements.
Proficient in using accounting software MYOB and MS Excel
Hands-on, teamplayer, meticulous, good organization and analytical skills.
5 day work-week (Mondays Fridays) and one Sunday in a month.
