Finance Manager (Japanese Speaking) - European MNC

The Client

Our client, a European Commodity Trading firm, is expanding in APAC, particularly in Singapore and Japan. They seek to hire a dynamic Finance Manager with Japanese language skills to support their growth in the region.

The Role:

To be a part of the finance team as a Finance Manager, leading financial operations in the APAC region and supporting global stakeholders. You'll oversee key financial aspects, working closely with the VP of APAC Trading in Singapore and reporting directly to the Finance Director in Europe. This role offers a chance to apply your financial expertise while driving strategic direction in a dynamic environment.

. Lead financial management and ensure accurate P&L reconciliation for trading operations.

. Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable, ensuring timely transaction settlements.

. Ensure precise trade data registration, collaborating with technology and European business controllers.

. Streamline and formalize financial processes to enhance efficiency.

. Manage monthly/annual financial closings, audits, and tax reviews, and liaise with key stakeholders.

The Requirements:

. Requires a finance or business administration degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, ideally in a regional or global set up within a commercial organisation or audit firm.

. Strong Japanese language skills are essential for partnering with stakeholders in Japan.

. Must have Singapore PR/Citizenship

. Proficiency in SQL and experience with IFRS are advantageous.

. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English is essential.
