- Experience covering both financial due diligence (FDD) and review of valuation models is mandatory (as this will be around 50% of the role)
Our client is an investment firm focusing on infrastructure projects across Asia. For this role, you are part of the portfolio Management team and report to the Head of Finance.
For this finance portfolio manager role, you will work closely with the investment team and play a gate keeping function on the following key areas:
Valuation & Due Diligence
- Due Diligence - To lead, perform and share best practices on internal financial due diligence for new investments as and when required. Work with external advisors on tax and commercial due diligence for project investments and divestments and provide support as and when required to the deal team.
- Valuation - Review business valuation models for new project investments and quarterly/annual fair valuation exercises for existing investments as prepared by business leads/project company teams challenge business and valuation assumptions used in discounted cashflow models (e.g. Forecast, WACC, IRR etc.). To lead and manage auditors review of fair valuation during year end audit while working closely with business leads and other finance team members.
Other Accounting and Tax work
- Subsidiaries Financial Review - Liaise /review tax and accounting of SPVs/subsidiaries as prepared by outsourced vendors.

Oversight of Project Cos- Mgt and financial Reporting
- Project Financial Review - Assist to review project financial reports prepared by the business team/project company teams and provide analysis of expenditure against approved budgets.
- Financial Information - Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information and analysis as required by senior management and shareholders/PIDG.
Business Plan, Budgeting & Forecast- Group and Project Companies
- Business/Operating Planning
- Budgets and Reporting- Work with biz leads and the projects to review their budgets
- Forecast & Cast Flow Mgt- Act as an oversight/coordinator to ensure fund flows into the assigned projects n SPVs.
Qualifications & Experience
- CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant field from a reputable university
- At least 7 years of hands-on finance experience, preferably with around 3-4 years in a Big Four accounting firm in the transaction advisory/valuation/M&A team.
- Prior exposure in a finance business partner or advisory role for corporate related investment projects either in a leading or review role e.g. financial and tax due diligence and financial modelling will be highly advantageous.
- Experience covering both financial due diligence (FDD) and review of valuation models is mandatory.
- Proficiency in IFRS with exposure to consolidation or investment accounting dealing with overseas entities.
- Has experience in a dynamic and fast paced multinational environment with exposure in the Asia region
- Experience in infrastructure sector, working with international development institutions and/or regional experience in Asia would be a plus but not a must
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel
- Strong work ethic and desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Has a stable cv (i.e. no active job hopping).
