A leading tech company is hiring a Financial Accountant (Contract) based in Singapore. This role is suited for a top-performing professional with strong Corporate Accounting experience in multinational settings. Team Structure and Reporting
You will be reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. The team handles US GAAP reporting and closing operations across 14 APAC entities and collaborates closely with a counterpart team in Dublin, requiring occasional overlap in working hours.
Day-to-Day
This role focuses on month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Key duties include managing reconciliations, coordinating with vendors, and resolving issues raised during the close process. Flexibility in working hours is needed to accommodate the Dublin team's time zone.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle month-end and quarter-end close processes, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and variance analysis.
- Oversee centralized processes that impact multiple APAC or international entities.
- Support the Finance team in designing, testing, and implementing financial reporting tools and processes.
- Lead and manage process improvement projects for scaling operations.
- Review work from outsourced partners to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners within and beyond Finance to meet Corporate Accounting objectives, providing finance management support on ad hoc analysis or special projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Recognized accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA).
- Proven team player comfortable working with a global team across multiple locations.
- Relevant experience in a large, fast-growing multinational organization.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and APAC local GAAP.
- Proficiency in Excel, along with strong analytical skills.
- Excellent planning, analytical, and communication skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- 8+ years of experience, ideally with APAC region exposure.
- Experience using ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
- Background in Big Four accounting firms.
- Relevant industry experience is a plus.
