Your Role
As part of the Group Reporting team, you will be performing entity control and Group reporting for Singapore entities.
You are strongly result-oriented and have sound knowledge on IFRS and experience in Financial sector. You are detailed orientated yet capable of approaching issues from both analytical and strategic perspective and then come up with concrete solutions that are practical to implement. You are independent, like to work on multiple tasks and can pro-actively manage multiple stakeholders in various businesses including Lending and Sectors, Financial Markets, Treasury and Corporate Advisory.
Your most important tasks will include:
Oversight of the month end ledger closing process, including the review of one-off journal entries and adjustments
Review of HO reporting schedules, ensuring proper reporting in accordance with ING Groups policies and procedures, accounting and regulatory frameworks, for timely submission of schedules to HO
Ensure compliance with the minimum standards for financial and regulatory reporting and SOX controls
Partnering with front office to provide commentaries that provide insight into business performance for various HO reports
Represent Finance in Local Parameter Committee meetings
Provide advice on accounting treatment to various stakeholders
Preparation of audited financial statements in accordance with financial reporting standards
Evaluate existing processes and develop or recommend modifications or new processes as necessary
Support data quality improvement initiatives and investigation
Service management of outsourced service providers
Participate in ad-hoc projects as required
Who are we looking for, your profile & competencies:
Skills and Competency
At least 6 years of experience working in a financial institution, preferably in the area of financial reporting or with audit background
A bachelors degree in accounting or finance or equivalent professional qualification in accounting and Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant
Excellent knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards and understand latest technical issues and their implications
Strong understanding of financial market products, hedge accounting, valuation adjustments and understanding of drivers behind valuation of various derivative products
Knowledge of liquidity coverage ratio, net stable funding ratio requirements will be preferred
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders
Positive can-do attitude and attention to detail
Able to independently resolve issues
