An exciting Financial Analyst II opportunity has arisen in our Operations Finance function at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. As a Financial Analyst II, you will have the unique opportunity to provide insights and support for our fast-paced innovative operation teams.
You will be a key member of the Operations Finance team to support Singapore and Japan manufacturing teams on data analytics, business partnering and be the PPI champion. This role would suit an individual with a passion for data analytics and a real desire to be an integral part of the wider Finance team, supporting the month end and budgeting process as required and undertaking ad hoc work when needed.
What you will do
- Act as the key contact person for sites finance team, collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and presenting data on a timely basis.
- Support leading and handling closing activities and help ensuring accurate reporting in the monthly closing process.
- Review monthly volume and spending details and identify the key factors driving variances to AOP and Forecast.
- Support preparing the annual operating plan and monthly and quarterly business reviews.
- Be the PLN 2.0 expert and generate periodic Business Review packages.
- Perform financial evaluation and manage all capital expenditure to ensure profitable business decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of reporting and analytical processes to drive productivity and efficiency.
- Perform special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed.

To excel in this role, candidates must have a bachelor's degree with preferably 2 to 4 years of relevant experience. In addition, we are seeking individuals who:
- Are proficient users of SAP, Power BI, Cognos, PLN, PowerPoint, etc.
