We are looking for a Financial Controller who will help drive the growth by providing financial stewardship and analytical insights into key financial and operational performance metrics. This role will be a strategic partner to the business to assist in evaluating operational processes and support planning / forecasting. Financial Controller will manage the company's plans and forecasts, at the same time advising top management on capital allocation and strategic direction. You will have a passion for detail and the ability to dive deep into the foundational building blocks for all departments. You must be able to analyse financial results, understand key trends, variances, assess current and future business risks. You will manage weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting and reviews. The Financial Controller will spearhead business process transformation, process improvements, implementation, and process automation projects. Besides financial planning, you will need to conduct critical analysis for the most strategic decisions made by management and provide relevant counsel.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting - Maintain accurate financial accounts and records for all business entities with supporting documentation. This also includes compliance including but not limited to taxation;
Financial Planning and Analysis - Providing business insights by preparing financial reports to roll out individual budgets;
Policies and Procedures - Assist in formalizing and implementation on all the current and new policies and procedures with finance relevant;
Independent and entrepreneurial - Show the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment;
Finance controllership Enhance on process, compliance, governance and Opex;
Mentorship Provide guidance to develop our existing finance team.
Implement the security mechanisms in accordance with procedures/guidelines
Enable experience sharing and information exchange related to information security incident handling
Safeguard of confidential information within Knorex as well as information entrusted to us by external parties
Requirements
Hold at least a Bachelors Degree in Accountancy from a reputable university with professional qualifications accredited in Singapore;
7 or more years of Experience in accounting, budgeting/planning, internal audit and finance operations;
Exceptional business judgment capable of driving a diverse organization to the right results with a focused, pragmatic approach;
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken, and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership;
Strong management skills having managed diverse finance teams across the region;
Proven project management ability that demonstrates organizational and problem-solving skills that lead to a successful conclusion;
Experience with data analytics, able to surface organization risks for attention, make evidence-based decisions, challenge the status quo and lead in process innovation;
Experience in preparing/handling group consolidation, especially one with multiple subsidiaries across the world;
Working knowledge of US GAAP;
Resourceful and supportive of other business functions and a work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations; and
Experience in a high growth start-up with multiple subsidiaries across the world will be a definite advantage.
