Financial Consolidation Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Consolidation Specialist to join our finance team. This role will be responsible for preparing and managing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing critical insights to support decision-making at the corporate level.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consolidated Financial Statements:

Prepare, analyze, and report monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.

Ensure all intercompany transactions and balances are accurately eliminated in the consolidation process.

2. Compliance and Standards:

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP) and company policies.

Support the preparation of external audit materials and respond to auditor inquiries related to consolidated accounts.

3. Data Collection and Validation:

Coordinate with subsidiaries and regional finance teams to collect accurate financial data.

Validate the accuracy and completeness of submissions from all entities.

4. Process Improvement:

Identify and implement improvements to the financial consolidation process to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Assist in the development and documentation of internal control procedures for financial reporting.

5. Analysis and Reporting:

Provide variance analysis for consolidated financial results, highlighting key trends and drivers.

Prepare management reports and presentations to support strategic decision-making.

6. System Utilization:

Utilize financial consolidation systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC) to streamline the consolidation process.

Collaborate with IT and finance teams to optimize system performance and reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

3+ years of experience in financial consolidation or related roles, preferably in a multinational company.

Strong knowledge of consolidation principles, intercompany eliminations, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).

Proficiency in financial consolidation systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP BPC, or similar tools) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in implementing or improving financial consolidation processes.

Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
