Fire Protection project engineer

- To monitor and supervise work progression according to shop drawings, method statements, material and samples.

- To liaise and work with relevant authorities on shop drawings, materials and samples.

- Review and align Fire protection design drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and guidelines.

- Knowledge in M&E and able to Identify discrepancies between M&E, structural, ID, architectural and client provisions.

- Manage and execute project as per the schedule.

- To attend meeting with contractors to address issues and update progress.

- Study and reviewing of drawings, specifications for compliance.

- Allocate work to supervisors and ensure jobs are correctly and properly achieved within standards and SOP.

- Plan and lead testing and commissioning of the fire protection systems.

- Liaise with regulatory bodies, fire departments, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

- Follow up with site / authority inspections, defects rectifications of the fire protection works.

- Plan and prepare OMM, training, As-Builts drawings for handing over of completed fire protection systems to client.

- Follow up with maintenance of fire protection systems during DLP.

- Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

Job Requirements

-To assist the Project Manager on overall site works related to Fire Protection and this shall be in line with safety requirements.

- Hands-on and technical assistance for fire protection systems services, programming, testing and commission for the projects.

- Design and engineering of fire protection system.

- Supervision of work, liaise with sub-contractors, site supervisors, foremen and workers regarding the overall fire protection system.

- Attending to all site meetings with owner, consultants on all matters relating to the project operation and co-ordination

Requirements:

- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/ ITC holder in Mechanical Engineering

- Min 3 years similar capacity experience in fire protection Industry

- Knowledge of AutoCAD added Advantage
