Person-in-charge of an in-house trailer repair/ maintenance workshop- Guide supervisor and staff on the allocation of work and deployment of staff
Verify repair quotations from vendors on prime movers and companys vehicles
- Conduct inspections on vendors sites to ensure repairs works are completed timely and meet our satisfaction expectations
Ensure staff is equipped with relevant skills, knowledge and certifications to perform necessary work.- Ensure timely completion of work as per target set by management.
Work closely with Transport department to ensure trailers and prime movers are in time for LTA inspection
- Work closely with Procurement department to control inventory availability and cost.
Prepare statistics and reports to review performance and make recommendations on operational and procedural enhancement / improvement- Attend to drivers feedback / call and recommend next course of action
Ensure supply of safety kits/ PPE to staff and ensure adherence to safety regulations and safe work practices
- Ensure availability of tools, material, spare parts and proper upkeep of inventory and assets
Ensure cleanliness of work premises and ensure good housekeeping for a cleaner workplace.- Ensure quality through supervision of work and stage inspections
Verification of timely and proper opening and closing of job cards
- Adhere to statutory/ companys safety and health policies, procedures and regulations
Assist HOD and Management in any work assigned- Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time
Diploma holder in mechanical engineering or related field- Possess Class 3 driving licence.
At least 5 years of technical experience in automotive industry, preferably in heavy/ commercial vehicles
- Strong technical competence and experience in prime mover and trailer
Good interpersonal skills and goal oriented- Able to handle stress and work within a tight schedule
Mon Fri (- 30am 5.30pm); Sat (8.30am 12.30pm)
