Assets and City Services is seeking an experienced
Fleet Operations Team Leader to join their team on permanent full-time basis.

The Operations Department is responsible for providing a range of services to the community including the collection of waste and recyclable materials, mechanical
sweeping of roads & footpaths, inspection and maintenance of pits & drains, clearance of litter bins from shopping centres and parks, cleaning of Council's
toilet blocks and barbeques and the management of Council's fleet and plant.
About The Role
As Fleet Operations Team Leader, you will assist:
- Coordinate and manage all Council's Fleet and Plant in life activities.
- Manage maintenance and repair requirements, vehicle pre-delivery and decommissioning, and ongoing fleet operational tasks such as condition reporting, downtime, and utilisation improvements.
- Ensure Council's fleet is safe, compliant, reliable, and maintained in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Skills, Experience And Certificates
- Tertiary diploma or degree qualification or Trade Certificate such as a Heavy Commercial Mechanic, or extensive experience (min 5 years) in a similar related industry such as plant and equipment repairs or other operational environments.
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling.
- A good working knowledge of the NHVR Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements for vehicles over 4.5 tonnes.
- Experience with operational workplace health and safety obligations.
- Ability to lead, mentor and develop a small and diverse team of direct reports.
- Skilled in using a variety of software and technology applications such as Asset & Maintenance Management scheduler, Compliance (Plant Assessor) & Risk Management, Telematics, Microsoft suite of applications (Excel, Outlook, etc) and Corporate Enterprise Financial Systems.
Essentials
- Heavy Rigid truck licence (Victorian) desirable
- High-risk forklift licence - desirable
