The Department

Capital Markets IT (CMI) is the IT department within the bank focused on solutions related to Capital Markets. Capital Markets IT involves technology solutions and systems used in financial markets for trading, investment, and related activities. This includes electronic trading platforms, risk management systems, market risk, counterparty risk, algorithmic trading, data analytics, and Regulatory measures. The use of advanced technologies like cloud and artificial intelligence is also becoming increasingly prevalent in capital markets to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.

Team & Position

We are seeking a talented Front Office RAD Developer (Commando) with a strong aptitude for programming to join our dynamic Capital Market Department!

This Singapore-based position is within the Capital Markets IT (CMI) division, which manages information systems for capital markets activities, which includes Front Office (FO) booking platforms, Risk Management (RM) control and regulatory reporting systems, financial product and contract valuation systems, and much more.

The Front office RAD developer sit in the Dealing Room directly with Front-office functions. The position involves a significant exposure to Financial Markets and requires a sense of independence and ability to work within a challenging environment.

Main Responsibilities

1. Understanding key business requirements of Rate Vanilla and Exotic Products desks.
2. Taking part in the development of new tools and industrialization/enhancement of the current ones, following commando standards. Using mainly python for the backend and Excel for the front end.
3. Supporting trading tools (mainly in Excel/VBA and python)
4. Maintaining a strong working relationship with the trading
5. Working with a team of 2 commandos based in Hong Kong and Tokyo

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

1. Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
2. Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Qualifications and Profile

Candidates should have 5+ years experience in relevant activity.

• Good understanding of Capital Markets Domain and market activities.
• Sound Knowledge on Regulatory Reporting (MAS,HKMA,EMIR,JFSA,CFTC,MIFID)
• Exposure to the Capital Markets with proficiency in financial instruments (Bonds, Rates, Equity, etc..), trading lifecycle and market data.
• Relevant experience with working with external source like Bloomberg, reuters .
• Proven experience in technical proficiency with strong skills in SQL,
• Basic Understanding of kubernetes and docker and any cloud platform.
• Basic Understanding on NO-SQL DB .
• High level of proficiency in unix/linux,PowerShell scripting.

All candidates, but particularly seniors, will be held to high a standard when it comes to communication, both oral and written. You should have good expository style, be able to explain yourself clearly and concisely, especially when the subject is technical and complex. It goes without saying that your English must be extremely fluent.
