Job Description
Seeking a seasoned Product Owner for their Banking Operations function within the COO organization. This role is integral to delivering high-quality, efficient, and accurate services to clients, encompassing account management, payment processing, clearing, settlement, and reconciliations. The position is part of a multi-year, global front-to-back core platform transformation programme, initially focusing on change-the-bank activities with a run-the-bank component.
Project Scoping:
Act as a business analyst/product owner from the business perspective.
Gather and define user stories; create and manage a backlog for T24.
Partner with business leads to identify needs for Core Banking.
Drive product improvements and roadmap with a focus on customer value.
Facilitate timeline and budget estimates; prepare business cases.
Establish project governance and assemble project teams.
Project Delivery
Support the Product Manager in Product Increment (PI) planning and review.
Ensure strategic solutions with an eye on future macro-developments.
Coordinate key initiatives for consistency in the product roadmap.
Establish and maintain project plans, milestones, critical paths, and dependencies.
Track and resolve project risks and issues; propose mitigating actions.
Ensure on-time, on-quality deliverables through appropriate quality checks.
Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and obtain user sign-off.
Issue regular and accurate project status reports; conduct progress meetings.
Change Management And Communications
Drive transformation by implementing, communicating, and training.
Manage interactions and communication with stakeholders.
Ensure operational readiness post-project go-live with the Business Sponsor.
Design and execute training plans.
Communicate key changes and workarounds to clients and users.
Professional And Technical Skills
Minimum 10 years of experience in private banking.
8+ years of experience with agile delivery approaches (e.g., Scrum, SAFe).
Prior experience as a product owner or similar role.
Experience with T24 or any core banking platform preferred.
Thorough understanding of the private banking value chain.
Strong expertise in digital products and services in Private Banking.
Proficiency in business processes, process design, and process re-engineering.
Demonstrated problem-solving, decision-making, and assertiveness.
Ability to find operational synergies and perform impact analysis on business models, tools, and processes.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
