Responsibilities
Your Role:
- As Assistant Vice President, Operations you will lead a team within the Reconciliations, Client Service and Delivery group. The Reconciliations function is responsible for reconciling client transactions to 3rd party data, to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the records. The focus of the CS and D function is to identify and resolve issues described in the 3rd party reconciliations, to ensure that the portfolio is maintained (cash flows and security updates), and that any residual risk is captured and signed off prior to production of financial statements.
- You will need to have an in-depth understanding of, and accountability for, the risk associated with financial instruments; be responsible for meeting all client's SLAs and effectively managing work processes; coupled with an approach toward process improvements and staff development. Communication will need to be clear and professional to ensure that your staffs understand their responsibilities and clients have the information they need.
- Review monthly reporting package.
- Review daily reconciliation work of employees.
- Assist employees with their daily work as and when need arises.
- Act as liaison between the clients and other Citco offices and departments.
- Review procedures and recommend solutions in order to improve efficiencies.
- Monitor compliance of various SLA agreements with the clients and other Citco offices.
- Negotiate SLA with clients and other Citco offices.
- Ensure accuracy in the processing of cash and position reconciliations.
- Assist and support new fund setups, conversions and migrations.
- Support the conversion of all new clients.
- Ensure adherence to all internal and external audit standards.
- Participate in the fiscal year-end audit process and provide information to auditors or other Citco offices.
- Ensure all control checklists are up to date and utilized.
- Work with other managers to ensure efficient allocation of employees and workflow.
- Keeps Senior Management abreast of all material issues affecting the processing of deliverables.
- Implements training initiatives, coaching and mentoring employees.
- Other ad-hoc reports requests and operations metrics as required by management.
Qualifications
About You:
- Bachelor or Master level degree.
- Min 5 years in Financial Services with an exposure to P and L Reporting or Operations processing.
- Product knowledge, Domestic, Global and OTC security markets, Fixed Income and derivative product knowledge.
- Exposure to systems implementations and work flow process initiatives.
- Strong customer relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Supervisory skills with experience in managing and/or leading staff for 2 years.
