The Harley Street Heart & Vascular Centre (HSHVC) is a leading heart and vascular specialist group practice in Singapore. HSHVC's clinics are currently based within three high-end private hospitals in Singapore (Gleneagles Hospital, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital) and has one outpatient centre in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The group consists of four cardiologists and one vascular surgeon and has plans to increase the number of specialists and clinic locations within Singapore and the region over the next few years.
HSHVC is part of the HMI group (hmimedical.com) and works closely with the HMI senior management and operations team to grow within Singapore and the region and improve efficiency.
Given its vision and growth trajectory, HSHVC is seeking to invite a General Manager onto its management team; one who is highly motivated, independent and with the competencies to actualize the mission of the group through financial and non-financial milestone success.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations, managing teams across operations, human resources, hiring, accounting, and marketing to ensure seamless clinic functionality.
- Collaborate closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care and consistently uphold clinical standards.
- Implement strategic initiatives, including center development and sales/marketing strategies. This includes securing patient referral channels, creating annual marketing plans for various specialties, and setting strategic goals for market reach and growth.
- Standardize services (IT, clinical, pharmacy) across HSHVC clinics in Singapore and the region, driving operational efficiency.
- Drive profitability and optimize company operations.
- Monitor market and competitor trends to inform proactive marketing and project development strategies.
- Support recruitment of new medical specialists and allied health partners to expand service offerings.
- Foster synergy with other divisions within HMI, collaborating with senior management to boost group-wide revenue.
- Seek out and develop regional opportunities to expand the clinic's presence and brand visibility in Southeast Asia.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance. MBA or MSc in Applied Finance preferred for strategic financial oversight.
- Demonstrated experience at a Senior Manager or equivalent level, ideally within healthcare services.
- 10+ years of professional experience, with the last 5 years in senior management, preferably within a large healthcare organization.
- A person of high integrity, possessing a good-natured demeanor, and strong decision-making abilities.
- Resourceful, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
