What is the role about
Singapore is the strategic market for the regions business. The General Manager, Singapore will be a key member of the APAC leadership Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the Singapore Sales & Operations team to optimise sales growth, achieve the Singapore Sales objectives and execute the operations flawless to deliver exceptional service to our Customers in the market.
The individual will also partner with Asia Pacific leadership team in driving business strategy for APAC and providing day-to-day leadership of strategic projects from brainstorming through implementation and execution. The persons ability to build rapport quickly and leverage working relationships and to represent the strategic intent of the Company across teams will be critical for success in this role.

Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times in line with Group policies.
Responsibility for SG sales budget and profitability achievement, cost management. Local discount management and approval processes
Work with Supply chain to optimize supply chain processes to minimize costs while maintaining high quality and reliability of supply.
Work closely with Finance and key functions to identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across operations without compromising quality or service.
Be accountable for ensuring there is a process for reviewing risks which may potentially impact the market from achieving business objectives
Be responsible for ensuring there is a process in place for reviewing and assessing risks and where appropriate, associated action plans and that they are regularly reviewed by the management team.
Be accountable to ensure that the market has in place a business continuity plan and is assured that if invoked, the plan will work as expected
Hold accountability to ensure the market continues to adhere to RS Quality Management standard
Owns ultimate accountabilities of EH&S in the country, making sure the right resources are put in place to drive this topi
If you have the following skills and experience, we want to hear from you:
Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role, with a track record of success in sales, operations, and supply chain management with an industrial background
Proven track record in leading a substantial P&L within a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record in achieving aggressive sales targets.
Experience of Key/Strategic Account Management and proven track record in sales
Strong leadership skills and coaching with experience in building, retaining and motivating a high-performance team
Demonstrate the ability to influence, challenge, negotiate, build credibility and work with integrity at all levels within the internal and external organisation
Understanding and experience of e-commerce solutions within a B2B environment
Understanding of procurement strategies within a business environment and able to articulate value solutions to support customer needs
A thorough understanding of the SG business environment, broad industry knowledge, industry drivers and trends
Comfort with ambiguity, and in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.
Ability to communicate complex processes, problems, and solutions in a simple, compelling an accurate manner. Think and lead strategically with a keen attention to detail.
Innovative and entrepreneurial approach and ability to develop efficient processes
Culturally sensitive and have strong emotional intelligence and able to work under pressure
