They have a sophisticated global licensed framework across UAE, Singapore, US and EMEA to operate a full ecosystem of digital banking, broker-dealer and b2b payment businesses. Due to their global expansion, this is an exciting time for Wellesley to help building their global compliance function (Remotely based) to oversee their international regulatory affairs and driving their compliance regime.
This Compliance Officer/MLRO will be the representative of the fintech business, in partnership with the Board and CEO for managing the regulatory risk of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Handle ongoing regulatory license application and maintenance in the desired jurisdictions under their global coverage
- Provide regulatory risk project management for delivery of regulatory solutions
- Demonstrate strong project management skills and ability to interface effectively with international regulators
- Monitor any changes of regulatory developments for the global digital assets industry and conduct gap analysis for their internal compliance policies and procedures
- Build a robust compliance framework based on the assessed regulatory risks and work closely with various internal stakeholders (Legal, business control and financial crime compliance teams)
Requirements:
- A bachelor degree with 8+ years of regulatory compliance experience with solid corporate licensing experiences at international corporate and investment banks. (Regional/Global team exposures will be highly desired)
- Excellent communication skills with confidences handling regulatory affairs/ communications with regulatory bodies
- Demonstrate a keen interest and a true believer in the rise of blockchain and digital assets business
- Forward-thinking with sound risk and compliance mindset
- Strong command of written and verbal communication skills in English and is a must
