Jewelry Repairs: Perform repairs on gold, silver, and other precious metal jewelry, including resizing, soldering, stone setting, polishing, and refinishing.
Stone Replacement: Replace and secure missing or damaged gemstones, ensuring proper alignment and setting.
Refinishing: Clean and polish jewelry to restore its original luster and quality.
Custom Adjustments: Modify jewelry pieces to meet customer specifications, such as resizing rings, adjusting clasps, or altering designs.
Quality Control: Inspect completed repairs for accuracy, quality, and durability before returning pieces to customers.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Customer Interaction: Collaborate with the sales team to discuss repair options with customers, providing estimates and advice on care and maintenance.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of repair work and inventory of materials.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Goldsmith, with a focus on jewelry repairs.
Expertise in using tools such as soldering equipment, polishing machines, and gemstone-setting tools.
Knowledge of different metals, gemstones, and their properties.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Certification in jewelry design, goldsmithing, or related field is a plus.
Familiarity with CAD software for jewelry design (optional but advantageous).
