Role Overview
As the Assistant Accounting Manager, you will manage the accounting functions for a group of companies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and supporting management with financial reporting. You will also participate in special projects related to business growth and accounting system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Statements: Prepare both group and individual company financial statements in line with IFRS and SFRS.
- Audit and Tax Compliance: Coordinate with auditors to resolve audit issues. Prepare GST reports, review tax computations, and liaise with tax agents.
- Management Reporting: Compile and submit periodic management reports.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Bookkeeping: Handle full sets of accounts for certain companies.
- Cost Management: Oversee manpower and administrative expenses for specific companies.
- Agency Business Oversight: Manage the accounting for the Group's agency business.
- Support Projects: Assist the Group Accounting Manager and participate in ad hoc projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a similar field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, with audit experience being essential.
- Strong bookkeeping skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and fluency in English (both written and spoken).
