HEAD BAKER

Responsibilities

• Developing new and exciting baked goods recipes
• Overseeing the production of all bakery goods
• Ensuring all products meet quality standards
• Ordering and managing inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
• Training and managing baking staff
• Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health and safety regulations
• Communicating effectively with suppliers, staff, and management
• Keeping records relating to deliveries, inventory, and production levels
• Troubleshooting any issues relating to baking or staff performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a baker or head baker
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques and the pastry-making process
• Capable of creating and modifying recipes
• Experience in managing a team
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations
• Culinary school diploma, Baking and Pastry Arts certification, or relevant field is a plus
