Job Description

  1. Staff supervision and training - trains, mentors and manages baristas. Ensuring they are skilled in coffee preparation, customer service, and maintaining cleaniness.
  2. Quality control - Ensuring that every drink meets the shop's standards for taste, appearance and consistency. This often includes maintaining the proper functioning of equipment.
  3. Inventory management - Monitoring and management stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups and other supplies. Placing orders when needed and ensuring waste is minimised.
  4. Customer service - Handling customer concerns, maintaining high-volume periods efficiently. Ensuring an excellent customer experience.
  5. Scheduling and shift management - Creating employee schedules, managing shift changes, and ensuring that the coffee shop is adequately staffed during peak hours.
  6. Maintaining equipment - Regularly checking and ensuring all espresso machines, grinders and other equipments are working optimally.
  7. Administrative duties - Handling cash registers, preparing daily reports and occasionally management the financial aspects like sales tracking.
