Role Overview:
They are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Compliance to lead their compliance strategy and ensure that their operations adhere to all relevant regulatory frameworks. You will play a crucial role in shaping the firm's compliance culture, managing regulatory relationships, and ensuring the products and services meet the highest standards of legal and ethical integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance framework aligned with local and international regulatory requirements.
- Oversee all aspects of regulatory compliance, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and data protection laws.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and manage all communications, audits, and inspections.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure the company remains compliant with evolving requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance to the leadership team on compliance-related risks and opportunities.
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees to promote a culture of compliance across the organization.
- Conduct internal compliance audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Lead and manage a team of compliance professionals, providing mentorship and fostering a high-performance environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience (minimum 8 years) in a senior compliance role within the financial services or fintech industry.
- In-depth knowledge of regulations and guidelines affecting payments, such as PSD2, AMLD, and GDPR.
- Extensive familiarity with the MPI license application and strong relationship with the MAS
- Experience working with global regulators and managing complex regulatory projects.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
