Our client is a leading financial services firm dedicated to leveraging data and technology to drive innovation. They are currently seeking a seasoned leader to help them set up and lead their Data Delivery pillar.
In this role you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operational oversight across four key pillars: Data Architecture, , Data Governance, Data Operations, and DevOps.
Your technical expertise and financial services experience will be critical in implementing best practices, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving transformational data initiatives across the organization. This role requires a strong technology background to guide the technical roadmap and lead a team of senior data professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of a scalable and resilient data architecture to support current and future business needs.
- Oversee engineering efforts for data infrastructure, focusing on cloud solutions, big data platforms, data integration, and automation.
- Collaborate with the CDO to develop a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices.
- Ensure data governance frameworks and policies comply with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Oversee risk management practices, including data privacy, data security, and data quality, to minimize risk exposure.
- Lead the implementation of data stewardship initiatives and foster a culture of accountability and compliance across the organization.
- Drive the development and execution of data delivery strategies, ensuring timely and accurate access to data assets for business users.
- Develop self-service data platforms, analytics tools, and data visualization capabilities to empower teams and enhance decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align data initiatives with business priorities and operationalize data insights across departments.
- Champion DevOps principles to streamline data deployment pipelines, automate workflows, and increase the velocity of data solutions delivery.
- Oversee CI/CD processes, infrastructure provisioning, and environment management, ensuring robust, secure, and efficient data operations.
- Lead initiatives to optimize and standardize DevOps practices, enhancing the scalability and reliability of data engineering efforts.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15+ years of senior data and technology leadership in financial services, with a focus on digital banking, data transformation, and large-scale systems development.
- Technical Expertise: Advanced skills in data architecture, big data analytics, AI, and cloud infrastructure, with experience in SOA, API-driven ecosystems, and emerging tech.
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage large cross-functional teams and drive change through strategic influence.
