Job purpose:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Department to lead our device connector business. The incumbent will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, driving sales growth, leading cross-functional teams, and overseeing department finances and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and prioritize business opportunities through market, industry, and competition surveys.
- Develop innovative solution concepts based on survey results.
- Drive revenue growth by creating sales plans, setting targets, and collaborating with sales teams.
- Monitor performance, adjust strategies, and ensure sales goals are met.
- Lead and manage Inside Sales, Field Sales, After Sales, Product Management, and Marketing Communications.
- Develop new customers, grow existing relationships, and optimize sales channels.
- Report to Managing Director and HQ, preparing PowerPoint presentations and reports (WSR, QR, AR).
- Collaborate with product development teams on innovation and road mapping.
- Oversee department budget, planning, control, and analysis.
- Lead and mentor sales, marketing, and product professionals.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting regularly to senior management.
- Initiate, lead, and manage projects, preparing reports for Management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the device connector industry or a related field
- Proven track record of success in sales, marketing, or business development
- Strong understanding of the device connector market and industry trends
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 20+ people and overseeing portfolios exceeding USD 30M above.
