Role: HEAD OF FINANCE

Overview:
As Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the across the Asia Pacific region, including Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam. You will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:Oversee the finance function for Singapore and provide guidance to Country Finance Leads in other APAC countries.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly closing, balance sheet reconciliations, and journal entries.
Review financial statements, including sales, gross margin, and expenses.
Manage cash flow and working capital.
- Tax Compliance:Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including withholding tax and goods and service tax.
Prepare and file corporate income tax computations.
- Audits and Compliance:Coordinate annual external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Prepare and submit Letter of Representation to the Group.
- Strategic Planning:Participate in annual budget exercises and transfer pricing questionnaires.
Identify financial risks and opportunities to support business growth.
- Stakeholder Management:Liaise with internal stakeholders such as group treasury, internal audit, tax, and compliance.
Interact with external stakeholders, including bankers, external auditors, tax agents, and government statutory boards.
- Special Projects:Lead the renewal of the Major Exporter Scheme every five years.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge of international financial reporting standards (IFRS).
