About the job
The APAC Marketing Finance team solves complex business problems to reveal opportunity, manage risk, and steward scarce resources. Our impact is fueled by a bias to action, a grounding in hard data, courage in advocacy, and willingness to put the team before the individual.
As the Head of APAC Marketing Finance, you will influence strategic investments and manage large budgets across our Consumer products (e.g., Gemini and Search, Pixel, Android, Play, and more), Ads products, and strategic initiatives (e.g., AI). You will partner with the APAC Marketing VP and marketing leaders at the regional product and country levels to provide analytics, challenge the status quo, and help Marketing leadership use resources for maximum impact. This is a very influential role, providing high visibility into the full range of Googles activities in APAC, as well as to APAC leadership, within and beyond Marketing.
The name Google came from googol, a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Advice on investment decisions for APAC Marketing leadership. Set priorities and recommend budgets and headcount across APAC Marketing.
Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of user and market trends, risks and opportunities of Googles products, and campaign performances.
Manage a team of both managers and financial analysts.
Help your team to develop innovative ways to understand, track and optimize the impact on Google of marketing investments in APAC. Manage the teams monthly financial operations and develop ways to automate processes.
Collaborate with wider regional and central Finance teams to drive decisions, exchange insights and best practices. Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop tools and reporting systems that drive efficiency and deliver results.
