Currently managing 10 engineers. Need to expand and grow the team to 40 engineers

Develop and execute R&D and AI strategies aligned with global objectives

Collaborate on cutting-edge projects across material science, patents, data development, NLP, algorithms, and bio-pharmaceuticals.

Foster strong collaboration across product management, DevOps, testing, and other departments

Oversee the development of innovative technologies in several areas

Partner closely with local institutions to enhance R&D capabilities.

skills and requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Min 10 years in R&D leadership roles, with a proven ability to scale teams and drive cross-functional collaboration

Expertise in NLP, computer vision, LLM, deep learning, search engine technology, material science, bio-pharmaceuticals, patents, or related fields.

Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, data science, and DevOps principles.

Chinese speaking required as you need to liaise with Chinese stakeholders who can only speak and write in Chinese

Familiarity with multi-location R&D operational challenges is a plus.

Demonstrated ability to lead and grow large technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive large-scale R&D initiatives. Managing a team of min 20 people now.
