. Currently managing 10 engineers. Need to expand and grow the team to 40 engineers

. Develop and execute R&D and AI strategies aligned with global objectives

. Collaborate on cutting-edge projects across material science, patents, data development, NLP, algorithms, and bio-pharmaceuticals.

. Foster strong collaboration across product management, DevOps, testing, and other departments

. Oversee the development of innovative technologies in several areas

. Partner closely with local institutions to enhance R&D capabilities.

skills and requirements

. Master's or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

. Min 10 years in R&D leadership roles, with a proven ability to scale teams and drive cross-functional collaboration

. Expertise in NLP, computer vision, LLM, deep learning, search engine technology, material science, bio-pharmaceuticals, patents, or related fields.

. Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, data science, and DevOps principles.

. Chinese speaking required as you need to liaise with Chinese stakeholders who can only speak and write in Chinese

. Familiarity with multi-location R&D operational challenges is a plus.

. Demonstrated ability to lead and grow large technical teams, mentor engineers, and drive large-scale R&D initiatives. Managing a team of min 20 people now.
