Our client is a direct General Insurance firm in Singapore. They are now looking for a Chief Risk Officer to support the Risk Management and Compliance function.

About the job
This is a highly independent role. You are required to monitor and report on risks and the regulatory environment to support strategic decisions, fostering a strong risk and compliance culture within the company. This includes:

• Deliver risk management services and foster a strong risk culture.
• Monitor risks to support strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and group guidelines.
• Oversee ORSA, Business Continuity Plan, and risk governance processes.
• Review and update risk appetite, register, and policies.

Skills and experience required

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of compliance experience at a senior level in the general insurance or reinsurance industry.
• Experience managing a professional team is ideal.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
