Healthcare Assistant (Banyan Home)

The duties of a Healthcare Assistant are:

1. Assist non-ambulant and semi-ambulant residents with their toilet needs and mobility

2. Bathe frail residents and those who need assistance in showering

3. Shave and cut hair for residents regularly, and ensure their fingernails and toenails are trimmed weekly

4. Supervise and assist residents in handwashing before each meal

5. Refer residents medical problems to the Duty PCO and nursing staff and accompany the residents to hospitals and polyclnics for their medical appointments

6. Accompany residents for outings and briskwalk

7.Serve food and drinks to residents at meal times and to wash their utensils after meals

8. Clean and disinfect the residents dormitories and general areas daily

9. Perform any other other duties as directed by the Home Management and Duty Officers
