About the Team
HR Compliance and Governance focuses on various legal and external regulatory requirements for human resources, such as cross-border travel compliance, cooperation with employee representative bodies, and the setup of new hiring entities. Our main goals are to ensure the company complies with local laws and regulations related to labor and employment during global business development, and to help the company solve compliance and governance issues related to people and organization.
This role will play a part in projects related to employee representation and HR data, with a specific focus on ensuring the company complies with legal and regulatory requirements. You will work with local and APAC colleagues on a day-to-day level and engage with stakeholders across the business globally.
For employee representation matters, you will assist with the development and planning of strategies through analysis and research, in addition to executing operational initiatives across the region. For projects related to HR data, you will help advise management on decisions impacting external reporting and regulatory compliance. You will also partner with functional stakeholders across the company to provide accurate and timely analysis for enabling external compliance.
What you will do:
- Support the development and planning of HR and employee representation strategies through analysis and research; transform insights into operational initiatives;
- Facilitate the execution of compliance initiatives for APAC employee representation;
- Assist with the design and cascade of written and oral communications and presentations for APAC employee representation matters;
- Conduct thorough research, interviews, data analysis, and other methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business context;
- Produce feasible recommendations and advisory aligned with HR management principles and external reporting requirements;
- Investigate and thoroughly understand client needs, offering tailored recommendations on the external usage of data as a trusted advisor;
- Collect, clean, and analyze HR data to ensure data accuracy and consistency;
- Develop and optimize request processes and policies to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
- Work closely with inter-department stakeholders and cross-functional partners, including legal, communications, public policy, tax, and data teams, to ensure alignment and bring initiatives to completion;
- Support the development and planning of HR strategies through analysis and research, and transform insights into operational initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics or a related field;
- Proven experience in HR compliance and governance;
- Familiar with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across APAC regions;
- Demonstrates excellent learning capabilities, sound business judgment, and hypothesis-driven problem-solving;
- Proven ability to identify and understand problems and their underlying causes;
- Demonstrates outstanding critical thinking and project management skills with a proven track record of effectively managing expectations across different time zones and cultures;
- Proven experience of working under demanding deadlines and producing key executive deliverables, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in HR compliance and governance related work;
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is preferred;
- Experienced in working within a technology, SaaS, or internet company.
