Responsibilities:
- Safety and System Management: Lead safety initiatives, maintain and enhance the company's QHSSE management system across vessels, identifying and addressing any gaps, and regularly updating vessel-specific manuals and other departmental records.
- Training and Safety Awareness: Conduct crew inductions, provide onboard safety training and coaching, and monitor digital training tools to promote safety culture. This includes regular briefings to keep safety knowledge current.
- Incident and Risk Management: Oversee incident, accident, and near-miss reporting, conducting investigations and root cause analyses, and implementing preventive measures to ensure comprehensive closure and documentation.
- Audits and Compliance: Perform internal and inter-departmental audits for ships, subcontractors, and the company. Prepare vessels for third-party audits and inspections, addressing any QHSSE-related deficiencies and findings from audits conducted by flag, port state, or client inspections.
- Client and Project Support: Address client QHSSE requirements by submitting necessary reports, attending workshops, and assisting in the development of project-specific safety management systems. Support month-end statistical reporting and client questionnaires.
- Administration and Emergency Response: Oversee QHSSE documentation, assist with requisitions and invoice approvals, and serve as an Alternate Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and Alternate Company Security Officer (CSO). As a member of the emergency response team, perform shipboard visits, audits, and inspections as required.
- Additional Responsibilities: Provide support to the Marine Superintendent, ensuring timely completion of QHSSE tasks and perform other duties assigned by the QHSSE manager.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Marine or Health & Safety
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in QHSSE, especially with Offshore Vessels
- Possession of ISM / ISPS / ISO Internal Auditor Certificate, and DPA / CSO Certificate
- Accident / Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Certificate
- Trained in BOSEIT
