Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the TMSA program, ensuring compliance with its components and performing regular assessments.
- Develop and implement HSSE policies and procedures that align with TMSA requirements, regulatory obligations, and company standards.
- Regularly conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards, ensuring findings are aligned with TMSA benchmarks.
- Create and deliver HSSE training programs aimed at TMSA compliance and enhancing safety awareness among crew members.
- Oversee investigations into safety incidents and near misses, documenting findings according to TMSA protocols and recommending improvements.
- Ensure adherence to international regulations, maintain a legal register, and comply with TMSA, SIRE, and BIRE requirements related to oil tanker operations.
- As DPA/CSO, develop and test emergency response plans to ensure crew readiness for oil spills, fires, and other emergencies in line with TMSA standards.
- Monitor environmental performance and ensure compliance with waste management and pollution prevention practices that reflect TMSA goals.
- Keep accurate records of HSSE performance, incidents, training, and audits, providing regular updates to senior management, including metrics related to TMSA.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry organizations, to promote best practices in HSSE and TMSA compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections while seeking opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Holds Certificate of Competency Class 2, Deck
- Has 1-2 years of experience in HSSE
