THE ROLE:
Based out of Singapore, this role will provide direct support to our employees in Singapore, Japan and Australia. The role will report to Head of HR for Asia & Europe and will work with broader central HR functions based in India.
- This role will initially be on a fixed term contract for 12 months with a view of going permanent in the future. This is a hybrid role with min of 3 days in the office.
- We will also consider applicants who are looking for part-time position of 3 days per week.
Job Summary:
As a HR Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our human resources initiatives and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and regulations in the regions responsible for. You will collaborate closely with the HR team, department managers, and employees to provide efficient and effective HR support and contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee engagement activities for the region, working with our Employee Culture club to generate ideas and help with execution.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for new employees, including preparing necessary documentation and conducting orientation sessions.
- Coordinate with central HR Ops teams for employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries, in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Work with central payroll team on monthly payroll inputs
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs, serving as a resource for inquiries and issue resolution.
- Assist in the implementation of annual HR cycles such as performance management processes, including goal setting, employee feedback surveys, mandatory training, year-end comp process including promotion review process support
- Assists employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters
- Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and ensure HR policies and practices remain compliant.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives as assigned by the HR Manager or other members of the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Junior to mid-level experience in human resources roles with an appetite to learn
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience of supporting businesses in Singapore plus prior exposure to Japan or Australia regions including understanding of local labor laws, regulations, and cultural norms related to employment practices would be an advantage
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including preparing Power Point presentations.
