HVAC Tuning and Operations Engineer
Responsibilities:
Project Evaluation:
- Ensure that HVAC water and air system optimization projects meet all predefined conditions at the project sales phase.
- Assess the feasibility of the project and identify potential energy-saving opportunities.
System Tuning & Optimization:
- During the project delivery phase, take responsibility for tuning machine learning models such as cooling capacity prediction and optimization control.
- Maximize the energy-saving potential of each project, working closely with the customer to solve non-software factors affecting the project's energy efficiency.
Energy Savings Validation:
- At the project acceptance stage, use methodologies such as IPMVP to verify the energy-saving results with the customer.
- Ensure that the energy-saving goals are met and validated according to industry standards.
SaaS Operation & Maintenance:
- In the SaaS operation phase, regularly monitor the running status of on-live projects, identify and address any issues affecting energy efficiency as needed.
- Perform ongoing system checks and maintenance to ensure long-term system performance and optimization.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Automation, HVAC, or a related field. Advanced degrees or research experience in relevant fields are a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in HVAC system optimization, particularly in water and air system control strategies.
- Experience with machine learning model tuning, such as cooling load forecasting and optimization models.
- Familiarity with IPMVP or similar energy savings verification methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with IoT system integration, with knowledge of protocols like BACnet, MODBUS, and MQTT being highly desirable.
- Strong data analysis and troubleshooting skills to solve complex technical problems.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HVAC system commissioning, control optimization, or related fields.
- Proven experience in delivering multiple HVAC energy optimization projects and solving customer-side issues.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, able to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and pressure-driven environment.
- A passion for green technology, digital innovations, and smart building systems with a drive for continuous learning and improvement.
