JOB DESCRIPTION
The Role
The successful candidate will teach across the Junior and Senior school (Year 3 to Yr13) and will be responsible for securing the highest standards of student achievement, specific to the subject, through combining first-rate instruction with the effective monitoring and review of student progress.
She/he will also be expected to play a full and active role in the further development of a thriving extra-curricular culture at The Winstedt School.

Curriculum
- To deliver a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum and contribute to the preparation and writing of schemes of work, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment.

- To deliver well-planned, engaging and creative lessons, ensuring that the needs of all students are met.

Person Specification
Qualifications
- . Bachelor's Degree in ICT, or a related subject.
- . Post Graduate Certificate of Education (or equivalent).
- . Qualified Teacher Status.
- . Evidence of further post graduate study.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- A minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of the National Curriculum for England / International curriculums.
- High levels of subject knowledge.
- A proven track record of high quality Music teaching.
- A strong academic background, stature and experience that will command the respect of students, parents, colleagues and the wider community.
- A commitment to academic progress and the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
- Experience of curriculum development in Music.
- Knowledge and understanding of recent educational developments and best practice.
Desirable
- Experience of working with students who learn differently.
- Ability to teach a second subject.
Personal Qualities
- Ability to stretch the most able students, whilst also ensuring the curriculum is accessible to all.
- Ability to inspire pupils with a love of learning for its own sake.
