Industrial Researcher

Job Responsibility

1. Monitor and assess markets to produce news, price assessments, market commentaries and reports

2. Analyse data to create insights into global commodities trade (mainly coke and coal)

3. Daily contact with traders, buyers and producers and other key market sources to build relationships and gather market intelligence

4. Develop two-way relationships with contacts and share market intelligence

5. Contribute copy to relevant daily news stories, publications and a real-time news service

6. Attend meetings, conferences and industry events to build contacts, report on news.

Requirement:

1. Minimum Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Economics, Business or Marketing, etc

2. Minimum 2 years working experience in well-known industry consulting companies and market research firms.

3. Familiar with the bulk commodity industries such as the Platts Coal and Coke Index

4. Have solid research skills, strong logical thinking and communication skills, and have a clear understanding and keen judgment of macroeconomic policies, major influencing factors of the industry, industry competition pattern, market supply fundamentals, leading companies, etc

5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

6. Mature and thoughtful with the ability to operate in a collaborative, team-oriented culture

7. Proficient in Mandarin and English
