Key Responsibilities:
- Fill the room with age-appropriate toys and activities that help infants explore and develop at their own pace.
- Stick to daily routines and schedules, making the environment feel safe and predictable for the little ones.
- Keep parents in the loop with regular updates on their baby's progress, and address any questions or concerns they have.
- Monitor each infant's developmental progress and come up with ways to support them in key areas of their growth.
- Keep the space clean and organized, ensuring toys and equipment are regularly sanitized.
- Collaborate with fellow childcare staff to create a supportive, welcoming environment for babies and their families.
Qualifications:
- Higher Certificate in Infant Care or Advanced Certificate in Early Years, or an ECDA-recognised equivalent.
- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting.
- A solid understanding of child development and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills - both talking to parents and chatting with your team.
- Ability to work well with parents, caregivers, and your fellow educators.
